And
they lived happily ever after………………..
Weddings
are the things that dreams are made of and at St Luke’s we
understand that this is a special day for everyone. It is an
important life commitment and with this in mind we work with you to
assist your marriage to have the best possible start and offer some
tools for the future.
THE
PRIEST –
The
parish priest at St. Luke’s Anglican Parish is Father Peter Tinney
and he has done many weddings all over Australia in his 28 years in
the priesthood. They have been in a variety of places and he works
hard to develop a good relationship with each couple. Fr Peter would
be happy to talk to you about your wedding and work with you to
create a day that is just for you but upholds Christian traditions
and the Anglican faith.
VENUES
–
St
Luke’s Church…..1
Pelissier Street, Yea
This
is our main Church and makes a wonderful place for a lovely country
wedding, seating about 100 people. St.
Luke’s is over 140 years old, and has numerous beautifully
stained-glass windows. The
elegant garden offers a little old world charm to add to your special
day with an arch at the front and various flowering plants depending
on the season.
Christchurch
Molesworth……Goulburn
Valley Highway, Molesworth
The little church at
Molesworth is an old fashioned white weatherboard church complete
with picket fence and rural scenery. It does however only seat about
60 and there is no electricity or modern amenities.
Although
for pure ambience it is an absolutely beautiful place to take your
vows.
Other
Venues……..
We
believe that it is important for you to always have the option of an
Anglican Wedding so if you would like to have your wedding in a place
outside of the churches please contact Fr Peter and have a chat with
him about that.
